Ingredients:
- 1 box of vanilla cupcake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of water
- Green food coloring
- Green buttercream frosting
- Black decorating gel
- Cactus-shaped fondant decorations
- Edible gold dust optional
Instructions:
Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin
Put the eggs, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla cupcake mix in a mixing bowl
Mix until it's smooth
Mix in green food coloring to the cupcake batter until it turns the color you want, which should look like a cactus
The green cupcake batter should be about two thirds of the way up each cupcake liner
Bake in an oven that has already been heated for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle of a cupcake comes out clean
Let the cupcakes cool all the way down on a wire rack after taking them out of the oven
When the cupcakes are cool, use a piping bag to put green buttercream frosting on top of each one, making a cactus shape
To make the buttercream frosting look like a cactus, use black decorating gel to do so
Put fondant decorations in the shape of cacti on top of each cupcake to make them more fun
You can add edible gold dust to the cactus cupcakes if you want to give them a fun shimmery look
Enjoy your fun and playful cupcakes that were inspired by a cactus party!
